ITB Throttle Bodies with Integrated Stepper Motor
Within a speed control system, a throttle body is used to regulate the supply of the gas/air mixture and thus the speed and power of a gas engine.
MOTORTECH ITB throttle bodies are equipped with an integrated stepper motor, which eliminates the use for an external actuator. The stepper motor is extremely precisely actuated by the VariStep3 stepper motor driver in combination with the SC100 speed controller.
- For use in naturally aspirated and turbocharged gas engines,
- Use with various types of gas (natural gas, biogas, sewage gas, mine gas, etc.),
- The 50, 100, 140 and 200 series cover a wide range of applications,
- Butterfly diameter 1.65 to 4.92 inches (42 to 125 mm),
- Using high temperature ball bearings designed for low friction operation,
- Additional sealing of the throttle body shaft for installation before and after the turbocharger,
- O-rings embedded in the body are used instead of paper gaskets for flange sealing,
- Butterfly and shaft made of stainless steel,
- Robust design for long service life,
- Other sizes and custom-made designs on request.

- Precise adjustment thanks to micro-stepping operation,
- Short adjustment times for throttle position,
- Very precise control of programmed positions without overdoing it,
- The mounting position of the throttle body can be chosen freely,
- Valid for temperatures up to 125 °C (257 °F), high temperature types (-HT) up to 200 °C (392 °F),
- It is precisely driven by VariStep3 stepper motor driver and SC100 speed controller.
