MIC3+CATDI Ignition Controller
Retrofit for CATERPILLAR® G3300 and G3400 Series Gas Engines
Based on the MIC3+ series, MOTORTECH produces custom controllers to replace the CATERPILLAR® Digital Ignition System used in the G3300 and G3400 series gas engines. Designed as an interchange device, MIC3+CATDI enables rapid conversion without much effort. With its future-oriented electronic concept, the MIC3+CATDI convinces with its improved engine starting performance, smooth running and improved combustion properties.
Significantly higher and more controllable ignition energy (MOST), accurate ignition timing and a variety of online diagnostics compared to CATERPILLAR® devices help increase engine efficiency, spark plug life and equipment availability under the strictest emissions regulations. Additionally, all MIC3+CATDI ignition controllers include a special bracket kit for mounting the ignition controller in the location of the CATERPILLAR® device.
Existing output and input cables can be reused thanks to the same connector layout. The included configuration menu provides predefined configuration files for all engines of the G3300 and G3400 series from CATERPILLAR®. Only the engine type, ignition coil type and timing interval need to be selected and the appropriate file is loaded into the ignition controller.
